There will be paperwork, and you have the right to review and keep copies of all documents prepared during your adoption process.

Here’s what you need to know:
His consent may not be necessary.
The adoption can proceed even with uncertainties.
If he agrees with the adoption, he can give consent before the baby’s birth.
His actions during the pregnancy are considered if he opposes the adoption.
If the adoption doesn’t materialize, your rights remain intact, and the baby will not be placed with the birth father.

You dictate the delivery experience, including who can visit you and the baby. All these preferences will be outlined in your Adoption Plan and communicated to the hospital in advance. Adoption documents can be signed 12 to 24 hours after the baby’s arrival.

The choice to place your baby for adoption is yours alone, and you have the freedom to change your decision at any point, even after the baby is born, without any judgment.
